02 · Preparation
Materials
Ethically sourced carnivorous plant; plastic pot with tray or open bog container; appropriate unfertilized carnivorous-plant medium; distilled or rainwater; scoop; gloves; species care card; label.

Observe traps with a magnifier without triggering or feeding them.

Compare sticky, snap, and pitfall traps using photos or real plants.

Read the selected species' dormancy, light, and water needs.

Moisten the correct unfertilized medium with distilled or rainwater.

Pot at the original depth and settle the container in its tray.

Label water, light, dormancy, and do not feed instructions.
